"Jade" was an early experiemental piece.  It's a stunning, large painting with rich deep color.  I enjoy the challenge of painting fabric and this old rug with it's gold fringe provided the perfect opportunity to play.  It's experimental because the work was done on four pieces of paper which were adhered to the canvas and then painted onto.  I did this in order to achieve the Asian printing in the background which was first printed onto the paper and then later painted over.  The materials are archival. The lower price reflects the experimental nature of the piece.
