Port Townsend, WA is a picturesque port town dating back to the 1800’s. Its colorful buildings and inviting shops draw tourists and artists alike. The Palace Hotel sits on Water Street next to Gallery 9 where I show my work. This piece was done in oils on paper and adhered togallery wrap canvas and is a recent addition to my newer body of work. Port Townsend is my favorite place to shop and bring out of town friends for a lovely lunch on the water front and a leisurly stroll through shops. The Palace Hotel sits on Water Front Street, the main drag of Port Townsend. I painted this piece on oil paper which was adhered to canvas that is one inch wider all around.
